What Highway 413 is, and where it isn’t

Highway 413 is a planned 52 km, 400-series highway linking Highways 401/407 near Milton to Highway 400 in Vaughan across north Halton, Peel and York. It does not pass through Erin, but it will run about 30 minutes from Erin Village.

Nearest interchanges

The 2019 preferred interchange plan puts Winston Churchill Blvd, Bovaird Dr and Mayfield Rd interchanges in west Brampton and Caledon, about 27 km and 32 minutes from Erin Village.

Status, October 2026

Route designated November 2025. Early works under way. In September 2026 the Province issued procurement for the east section and named a construction manager for the 9.1 km Highway 410 extension. No opening date has been published.

Economic impact

The Province estimates construction will support an average of about 6,000 jobs a year and up to $1 billion a year in real GDP across Ontario during construction. Longer term, the corridor improves access to the logistics and employment lands of Caledon, Brampton and Halton Hills.

Some marketing implies Highways 410 or 413 run to Erin. They don’t: Highway 410 ends at Highway 10 in Caledon, about 29 km away, and Highway 413 runs south and east of Erin. The realistic benefit is faster east–west trips once you reach Brampton or Halton Hills.
Transit

GO trains are 25 minutes away

Erin has no fixed-route bus, so most commuters drive. Acton GO and Georgetown GO on the Kitchener line are each about 25–28 minutes from Erin Village, and Mount Pleasant GO in Brampton is about 34. Weekend trains now run to Georgetown and Acton (since November 2025), and two counter-peak express trips were added in April 2026.

Metrolinx has an agreement in principle with CN to buy track between Bramalea and Georgetown, with the goal of all-day, two-way hourly service to Kitchener and 30-minute service to Mount Pleasant. No in-service date has been set.

Locally, Wellington County’s RIDE WELL on-demand transit runs weekdays 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
