New developments in Erin: common questions
How many new homes are planned in Erin, Ontario?
Beyond Erin Glen’s roughly 1,300-home master plan, five more communities in Erin Village and Hillsburgh are approved or proposed, totalling about 2,228 homes. Wellington County forecasts Erin growing to 26,300 people and 9,200 households by 2051.
Which new developments in Erin are selling now?
As of October 2026, Erin Glen by Solmar is the only community selling, with its final phase of freehold towns, semis and detached homes. Mattamy’s Everwood and Ballantry’s Village of Hillsburgh are listed as coming soon, Hillsburgh Heights has early-access registration, Coscorp’s plan is draft approved, and Empire’s is under review.
Where are the new subdivisions in Erin?
In Erin Village, Erin Glen is on the north-east side around 10th Line, and the Mattamy, Coscorp and Empire communities are along Eighth Line on the west side. In Hillsburgh, Hillsburgh Heights and the Village of Hillsburgh are both on Trafalgar Road.
Are there condos in Erin?
No stand-alone condo or apartment buildings are proposed. New homes in Erin are freehold townhomes, semis and detached homes. The only multi-unit components are back-to-back towns and Ballantry’s future seniors housing blocks.
